If you purchased one of our banners (standard or stick versions) and do not have vector graphics version of your team's logo (filetypes AI, SVG, or EPS), purchase this item and provide the non-vector graphics version of your logo (typically a PNG or JPG/JPEG file) to our email address at chicagostallionshockey [!at] gmail.com. We will convert your logo for banner printing into a vector graphics version and will provide these back to you via email. We include filetypes AI, SVG, EPS, PDF, and PNG in a zip file. These can be used by you and your hockey club in the future if you need vector graphics file for printing. If you have supplied us with a vector graphics version of your logo you do not need to purchase this item.

Note on PDF versions: Occasionally a club or team will share the team logo in PDF format, which can be opened with Adobe Acrobat or Reader. For adequate banner printing these need to be PDFs that were created from one of the vector graphics file types mentioned above. You can generally tell if this is the case by opening the PDF and zooming in 400 to 800%. If the edges of the logo appear crisp then you most likely have a PDF created from vector graphics. See the example image in this listing to see what our logo looks like as a PDF zoomed in to by 800%.

A quick note on graphics files: PNG files are Portable Network Graphics files, and while they are compressed image files they have what is called lossless compression. This allows compression (reduction in file size) of the file without a loss in quality of the file. Occasionally, high enough resolution PNG files are adequate for banner printing, so make sure you share those with us first and we'll let you know if they will not work. JPG/JPEG files are Joint Photographic Experts Group files that use lossy compression. This compression allows for a reduction in file size, but comes at the cost of quality as compression levels increase. These are used for many photo images which allow for a reasonable representation of what the camera captured, but do not work well for hockey logos as they lose sharpness once expanded for printing making the logo appear blurry on the banner. This conversion service takes PNG and JPG/JPEG file formats and converts them into vector graphics files which are made of geographic shapes (like many logos). This conversion also allows for easy editing and manipulation (using Adobe Illustrator as an example) and are versions that are "infinitely scalable" - they print as well on a business card as they would on a billboard. These files are the only type in which we can ensure a quality banner print.
